SOUND VIEW ROOM RULES AND INFORMATION

• The Exit Plan is located on the back of your door.
• Your room phone can call anywhere in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, Marina Islands and the US Virgin Islands. International calls are blocked. You do share the line with the other guest room. The phone ringers are turned off.
  
• Please use your private entry door for coming and going and lock it when you leave.
• Please use the ashtrays provided outside. We will empty them for you.
• If you use the Jacuzzi tub, you can drape the curtain outside the tub to the right on the hook provided.  Fill the water to 2" above the brass jets. Feel free to use the bath granules provided, but please don't use any other oils or additives.
• When taking a shower, please use the suction cups provided on the shower curtain to keep the water in the tub.
  
• Please use both bathroom fans when showering to remove moisture.  One is by the towel rack and the other is with the light as you enter the bathroom. The smoke detector in your bedroom views steam as smoke will go off if the fans are not used and both the bedroom and bathroom doors are left open. This will set off the house alarm in all rooms and notify the monitoring station that we have a fire.
  
• No open flames, candles, or cooking is allowed in your room.
• Feel free to use the bathrobes and colored towels provided for the Infrared Sauna.
• A high speed 25 foot internet cable is provided under the night stand by the window.
• High speed wireless internet is also available. Ask us for the password.
• Battery operated portable night lights are on the nightstands.
• The smart alarm clock shows the time on the ceiling and is always correct. Alarm switch one and two are on the back. The instruction manual is under the Alarm Clock.
  
• Your guest refrigerator, ice maker and microwave are in the breezeway.
• The hallway door to the rest of the house is locked at night and when we are gone.
• Feel free to use the deck, sauna, and private sitting areas around the house.
• By law, you are not allowed to use the kitchen area upstairs or our main refrigerators. We have paper plates, cups, napkins and plastic utensils available for you in your microwave outside in the breezeway.
  
• If you want laundry done it will be $15 per load. We will provide the service for you including folding your clothes. We do have Laundromats close by as well.
  
• A Hair dryer, magnifier mirror, filtered water, coffee maker, soaps and shampoos are provided for you in your bathroom.
• The Attic fan will provide a nice breeze across your bed with the window and closet door open. You will want to close the bedroom door for best results.
• Pull the blind chord to the left to let the blackout blinds down fall with gravity. Gently pull the chord to the right to pump the blinds back up.
• Assortments of hard, soft, thin, & cushy pillows and DVD's are available for you in your closet.
• Check the drawers for tourist books, games, maps, etc. Please leave them here when you leave.
• The Air-conditioner and baseboard heater are separate units and have their own controls.
• If you are with us for a long stay the sheets will be changed twice a week.
• Leave the towels on the floor if you want new ones each day.
  
• To support going green, please leave the towels on the rack. Towels left on the floor will be laundered. Turn the lights off and the temperature down when you leave.
• You will need our permission if want to invite other guests to our property.

• By law, you are not allowed to use the kitchen area upstairs or go into our main refrigerators. This is for your protection.
  
• A hair dryer, magnifier mirror, soaps and shampoos are provided in your bathroom.
• A white and gray Somfy remote control is available for the hard to reach blinds in the stairwell and kitchen. This will give you full blackout capability. To use the remote press the bottom button twice and the channel lights will light up. Press this button again and you will cycle through the 4 channels. Channel one is for the kitchen blind and channel two is for the stairwell. The up and down buttons will then work the blind in those directions. If you press the middle button the blind will stop at that position.
• A gray Skytech remote control is available for the fireplace. Press the "mode" button to cycle from Off, ON and THERMOSTAT. Use the THERMOSTAT selection and then use the up and down button to set the temperature. This action will hold the temperature selected.
• If the fireplace is too bright for your sleeping comfort, we also have a baseboard thermostat on the wall on the right side of dresser mirror. The thermostat is set to hold whatever temperature you select. Please turn the fireplace remote control to OFF if using the wall thermostat.
  
• The Comcast remote control is available for the HD TV. Press the "All ON" button and point it toward the TV and DVR. Both units will turn on after a few seconds. The channels will light up on the DVR and the TV will make an ascending tone when powering up. The remote should default to Cable control so when you channel up or down you will see the channels change on the DVR box. If the TV or Cable box does not power up, press the power button then button for the one that did not light up. Press the Cable button again to make sure you have cable control. The pay-per-view channels are locked out, but you have access to Starz, Encore, HBO, Sports, etc. The channel line up is on top of the DVR.
  
• The floor heat control unit in the kitchen has been preset to 80 degrees. This is the maximum heat available. You can turn it down with the up down arrows or turn it off in the summer if you want a cool floor.
  
• The trash can in the kitchen has an automatic open and close lid on it. Wave your hand slowly by the red sensor and it will open for a few seconds and then shut automatically.

• If you have any questions on how to run the garbage disposal, dishwasher, washer, dryer, coffee maker, stove or oven please feel free to ask us.
• When cooking on the stove please use the microwave vent fan. The fan vents the air outside and is not a closed system.
  
• If you use the kitchen to make meals we do expect you to clean up the kitchen when you are finished.
